I sat on the floor in the dining room of my $500,000 home just outside Atlanta, GA. My writing business (that had afforded me a lavish lifestyle) was on a downward slide due to the economy. My husband had unexpectedly lost his job (right at Christmas time). As I looked around my house, I started thinking about how I could make money. Here I had all this “stuff” – and yet none of it seemed very important at this moment.
I don’t recall exactly how I figured out I could sell on Amazon. I was a regular buyer (and still am today) and perhaps I noticed something while I was making a purchase. However, I was holding a few books in my hand and the next thing I knew, I was listing them for sale. It only took a matter or a day or so and they were sold. That’s when the light bulb went off.
I began scouring my house for anything I could think of that Amazon sold and they would allow me to sell. If I had to guesstimate, I would say that I sold 5% of everything we owned at that time by selling it on Amazon. And, as I’ve said before, this is still the #1 way I make extra money.
It’s not hard to do, it takes no money to get started, and you have nothing to lose by trying it. Is this enough of a push for you to give it a try?
how can I help you be successful today?
